C. Liston, also known creatively as Artist.K6, began her journey in Kingston 6, Jamaica, where her artistic roots and cultural perspective first took shape.
Relocating to New York City, she launched her professional career in the fashion industry as a graphic artist, developing a strong foundation in visual communication, brand aesthetics, and creative design. She advanced to the role of Creative Director, guiding design strategy, campaign development, and creative innovation.
Her professional path later expanded into public service within the U.S. Federal Government, where she served as a Technical Developer and Data Analyst. In that role, she merged creativity with technical precision, applying analytical rigor, systems thinking, and technology-driven problem solving across mission-critical initiatives.
Her multidisciplinary background, spanning art, fashion, and technology, informs the creative and strategic vision behind 6Decades, a legacy-driven brand honoring her mother, Joyce Loretta, whose life, strength, and timeless elegance continue to inspire the work and purpose behind the brand.
"My mother, Joyce Loretta, was more than a parent; she was our foundation, our strength, and the heart of our family for sixty years. She lived with grace and carried herself with quiet resilience, blending creativity and style into every chapter of her life. She taught us how to endure, how to love, and how to stand tall with dignity no matter the season. 6Decades is my tribute to her life, her legacy, and the unbroken bond we share; a reflection of the light she left within us."
